Jeff Schlerf is an advisor, author and speaker on business and sports related topics. His greatest professional strengths as a trusted advisor include his creative problem solving and analytical abilities. His experience as an attorney for over 30 years representing businesses and financing organizations on corporate reorganizations and restructurings as well as organizations in the sports industry perfectly complements his work as a sports consultant.

Jeff was a professional baseball team co-owner from 2014-2025. He previously served as the Chair of the ABA Business Law Section’s Sports Law

Committee, moderating speaker panels which included former professional athletes, broadcast analysts, college athletic directors, authors and leaders of sports and entertainment agencies.

Jeff received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and later earned three graduate level degrees including a Juris Doctor from William and Mary. After receiving a graduate degree in economics and prior to law school he worked at the Federal Reserve and then served as the first economist at a billion dollar financial institution. Jeff authored an in-depth study on monetary policy during the Great Depression. While more recently earning a graduate degree in sports industry management at Georgetown University, his Capstone project involved an in-depth analysis of the business model of Major League Soccer. Jeff has taught as an Adjunct Professor at William and Mary.

Jeff is a lifetime sports fan who enjoys fitness, reading and travel. He is the proud father of two sons who share his passion for sports.
